our stay at water hotel was truly outstanding. having visited pingyao before, we had high expectations, but this time the hotel exceeded them all. the location was perfect, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff, despite the language barrier, was incredibly friendly and helpful. highly recommended!

breakfast not as expected

Water Hotel in Pingyao was a delightful stay for me. The room was modern and comfortable, with a super comfy bed. The hotel offers complementary smooth transport from and to the train station, making my arrival and departure hassle-free. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of town, allowing easy exploration of the old town. I particularly appreciated the free leave green tea and free beer, a nice touch by the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. I would highly recommend Water Hotel for anyone visiting Pingyao.

I recently stayed at a hotel in the center of Pingyao for a weekend getaway. The staff at Water Hotel were extremely polite and made sure our stay was comfortable. They provided us with a free city map and gave us recommendations on places to visit. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore. Additionally, the hotel included free transportation from the train station, which was a great convenience.

During my stay, I found the hotel's location to be extremely convenient. It was located within walking distance of all the attractions inside the walled town, and the coffee shop next door was a great addition. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious, and the shower worked well. The breakfast was free and had enough options to satisfy anyone's appetite. I particularly enjoyed the view from my room of the old city.

The hotel's prices were a bit too high for my liking.

Nothing not too like.

The decor of the hotel was exquisite and visually pleasing. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout my stay, always available to help with any requests. I particularly appreciated the complementary transportation from the train station, making my arrival much more enjoyable. the location was ideal with easy access to key local attractions.

While the room was generally clean, the bed was a bit uncomfortable and could benefit from thicker padding. the Japanese-style futon on the floor was suitable for back sleepers but not for those who prefer to sleep on their sides.

The hotel features a restaurant where guests can enjoy delicious meals. I had the most delightful dining experience there, with a variety of dishes that were as satisfying as a much-anticipated gourmet feast.

Thin mattress.

Our stay at this venue was an extraordinary experience. The location was perfect, close to main attractions and with beautiful garden areas. The service was outstanding, helpful and friendly staff provided all the conveniences we needed. The leisure room and private facilities really made us feel luxurious. The in-room breakfast was a great advantage and a delicious start to our day. Additionally, the bar and lounge area was a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy a drink.

The only minor issue we encountered was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms, which caused some disturbances during the night. Nonetheless, the massage and foot massage services truly made up for it, providing the relaxation we needed after a long day of exploring.

I had a great stay at this hotel. Location was perfect, as I could easily walk to all the sights within the old city. The hotel facilities were excellent, and everything was immaculately clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they even arranged transportation to and from the hotel. The breakfast was decent as well.

Stayed during Easter and couldn't be happier with my choice! The hotel is located in the middle of the buzzing ancient city and has a great traditional feel to it. The rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds. The staff were just amazing and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. It was great that they spoke English and were able to help with directions and recommendations. The breakfast was simple but perfect: fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, bread, great coffee, and juice. The hotel also provided a shuttle service to and from the train station which was really convenient.

That it was a bit noisy at night due to the level of activity in the area. But it's a small price to pay for staying in such a vibrant location.
